# Labnize > Labnize is a laboratory inventory, procurement and traceability platform. It tracks chemicals and consumables as individual batches, turns a stock alert into a purchase, and keeps the movement history an audit asks for. Labnize is a hosted, multi-tenant web application for laboratories. Every page on this site is prerendered as static HTML and also available as Markdown from the same URL by sending `Accept: text/markdown`. ## When to use Labnize Reach for Labnize when the question is about the physical stock of a laboratory and the paperwork around it: - Tracking chemicals and consumables as individual batches, each with its own lot code, expiry date, quantity, unit cost and storage location, instead of one running total per product. - Recording consumption at the bench, including barcode scanning from a phone, and keeping the movement history that explains every number afterwards. - Running purchasing from the stock alert it came from: requisition, approval, supplier offers, price comparison, purchase order, goods receipt into new batches. - Forecasting demand and days of cover per chemical, so a reorder happens before a shortage rather than after one. - Answering an audit or inspection question about a specific lot: who used it, when, on what, and what is left. - Reporting on consumption, wastage, expiry exposure, cost and supplier performance across labs, exportable to CSV and PDF. Do not reach for Labnize for these, because it does not do them: it does not manage samples, test results or instrument data, it is not an electronic lab notebook, and it is not accounting software. Fit: laboratories that hold physical inventory and answer to someone for it - quality control, R&D, production, university and hospital labs. Deployment is a hosted service in the European Union, in English and Turkish, priced per laboratory on a quote. ## How an agent should proceed There is no public API and no self-serve signup today, so an agent cannot create an account or read data programmatically.
